Work ethic is over rated.
This piece of work focus on the working condition of humans. Work has become the one true ethic of human being. Under the influence of new-liberal ideologies and capitalism, there is hardly a way to escape from the system. We all trapped in some sort of cage, iron cage, glass cage, concrete cage, the medium may vary but the condition remains.
I chose cubicles as a metaphor for human’s working condition. Mixed with the image of Japanese Pachinko to form an irony about what does work really mean for us as individuals. How does repetitive work damage our creativity and our imagination of happiness.
